Everton have an interest in appointing Sean Dyche as their new manager if they do decide to move on from Frank Lampard.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that Dyche is one of a number of managers in contention should Lampard go.
Wayne Rooney, Roberto Martinez and even Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou are also believed to be on the Everton radar.
Lampard is under huge pressure at Everton after Tuesday’s 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion.
It’s now four defeats in six Premier League games for Everton and just two points taken in that time.
The stench of relegation is growing stronger and stronger around Everton and Lampard is in a real fight – both against the drop and to keep his job.

Sean Dyche to Everton may sting for Lampard
Dyche has been out of work since April, when Burnley sacked him in an effort to avoid relegation.
The 51-year-old worked wonders with Burnley, twice winning promotion to the Premier League and even guiding the club into Europe.
Burnley’s decision to sack Dyche didn’t secure survival and he has remained out of work ever since.
Dyche would surely appeal to Premier League clubs after his astonishing work at Burnley, but a move to Everton would sting for Lampard.
Burnley and Everton were fighting against the drop last season and, after a 3-2 win over the Toffees, Dyche indicated that Everton ‘don’t know how to win’.
That was viewed as a pretty disrespectful comment about Lampard’s Everton side, though current form means he wasn’t all that far off.
Lampard played down the situation but he would be forgiven for feeling a little stung if Dyche ends up being the man to replace him.
The Chelsea legend needs wins soon in order to stay in the job and links to the likes of Dyche will only ramp up the pressure.
