Everton want Sasa Kalajdzic and are now ready to fight Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to sign the Stuttgart striker this summer.

The Toffees opened their season with a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea with Frank Lampard no doubt keen for more signings.

A striker is an absolute must for Everton given that Richarlison has gone and hasn’t yet really been replaced.

Add in that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is injured and Salomon Rondon is suspended and Everton are really lacking some firepower.

Everton want Sasa Kalajdzic

The Daily Mail now report that Everton are keen on signing Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic this summer.

It’s stated Everton are in the mix alongside Manchester United and Chelsea for Kalajdzic’s signature.

Kalajdzic can allegedly leave Stuttgart for around £15million given that he has just one year left on his contract with the Bundesliga club.

That price may well tempt Everton, who can likely offer more first-team football than Chelsea or United.

Kalajdzic, 25, is a gigantic striker at 6ft 7in tall and he has carved out a reputation as something of an Austrian Peter Crouch.

Kalajdzic only played 15 league games last season as he came back from a major injury, but he still managed six goals to help Stuttgart survive the drop.

16 goals in 33 games during the 2020-21 season showed off Kalajdzic’s quality and it’s no surprise that Premier League clubs are now interested.

Branded an ‘absolute top’ striker by Stuttgart director Sven Mislintat, Kalajdzic is surely leaving Stuttgart sooner or later and Everton are now positioning themselves for a deal.

Tottenham were thought to be very interested in June but that seemingly isn’t happening – because they signed Richarlison from Everton.

Kalajdzic could now end up replacing Richarlison in a strange turn of events, and Everton would no doubt love to win this race given the huge clubs chasing Kalajdzic’s signature.
