Everton defender Cuco Martina is reportedly on the radar of Stoke City and Middlesbrough in the summer transfer window.

Everton wanted £2 million as transfer fees for Cuco Martina, with Stoke City and Middlesbrough claimed to be interested in signing the former Southampton defender on loan, according to The Liverpool Echo.

It has been reported that Martina is considering offers from Championship duo Stoke and Middlesbrough, with clubs from abroad also claimed to be interested in the right-back.

Although the Potters are reported to be favourites to sign the Curacao international, the 28-year-old is claimed to be undecided over his future.

The Liverpool Echo has also reported that Everton were hoping to sell Martina for £2m and are now willing to accept loan offers.

Disappointing spell at Everton

Martina joined Everton in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer following his exit from Premier League rivals Southampton at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

The former FC Twente right-back – who earns £35,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – made 20 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Everton last season, providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Martina did not play exactly well, and it is no surprise that Everton reportedly want to offload him.
