Josh Maja’s prolific League One form with Sunderland could reportedly earn him a chance in the Premier League with Everton.

Marcel Brands has already demonstrated exactly why Everton spent months trying to lure him to Goodison Park.
After two years of expensive, odd and often disastrous signings under majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, former PSV Eindhoven chief Brands guided The Toffees to their most impressive transfer window in living memory over the summer.
Lucas Digne, Bernard, Kurt Zouma, Andre Gomes and Richarlison are already proving to be huge hits at Goodison Park with £28 million centre-back Yerry Mina waiting in the wings too.
And Brands isn’t done there. According to the Northern Echo, Everton are one of a number of Premier League sides interested in the exciting Sunderland striker Josh Maja, along with Tottenham, Manchester City and Southampton.
At the age of just 19, Maja has become Sunderland’s first choice striker and has scored 11 goals in all competitions already this season.
And he is pretty much the trademark Marcel Brands signing; the sort of addition that helped the Dutchman become one of the most respected recruitment experts anywhere in European football.

During his time in Holland, Brands discovered the likes of Dries Mertens, Kevin Strootman, Gini Wijnaldum and Hirving Lozano, talented yet unproven young players who have gone on to become genuinely top class footballers in their respective positions.
And Everton fans should trust Brands implicitly with Maja in their sights. He’s got these sort of deals right so many times before.
