Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has been linked with West Ham United in the January transfer window.

Schneiderlin has struggled to make an impact at Everton since his move from Premier League rivals Manchester United in January 2017 for an initial transfer fee £20 million, as reported by The Guardian.

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder has featured in 19 Premier League matches for the Toffees so far this season, playing a total of 1425 minutes of league football, according to Whoscored.
However, it seems that the Hammers have suffered a blow in their (reported) pursuit of Schneiderlin.

According to Sky Sports today, Everton have told West Ham that they do not want to sell the France international defensive midfielder.
It has been reported that Everton manager Sam Allardyce does not want to part company with the 28-year-old due to James McCarthy missing the rest of the season with a broken lead.
Schneiderlin would have been a great signing for West Ham in their quest to survive in the Premier League, and missing out on the former United star is a blow for the London club.
