According to La Gazzettea Dello Sport, Everton are interested in signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the Toffees have made contact with Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique, to discuss a potential transfer this summer.

The 25-year-old central midfielder is looking to leave Juventus this summer, having been disappointed in his first season at the Italian club, according to the report.

Stats

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti worked with the France international at Paris Saint-Germain, and knows the player well.

According to WhoScored, Rabiot has made 11 starts and six substitute appearances in Serie A, and has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for Juventus so far this season.

Football in England and Italy is suspended at the moment due to the global health crisis, and it remains to be seen when the summer transfer window opens.

Liverpool fan

Rabiot is a very good midfielder who would be a good signing for Everton, but the Goodison Park faithful will find it interesting to know that he grew up as a Liverpool fan.

Back in September 2017, the midfielder – then at PSG – was quoted as saying by Goal.com: “I would love to play in the Premier League. There’s not necessarily any club in particular, even though when I was young I was a big Liverpool fan.”
