It has been reported by the French news outlet that Leicester City are also interested in Zouma, with Chelsea open to offers for the 25-year-old central defender.
Everton are ‘pushing hard’ to bring the France international back to Goodison Park, according to the report, with the former Saint-Etienne star having spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at the Merseyside club from Chelsea.
The report has claimed that talks among all parties are going on, and that it will cost €40 million (£36.42 million) for Everton to secure the services of Zouma, described as “fantastic” by Chelsea manager Frank Lampard in Goal.com in October 2019.
From Chelsea to Everton?
Following the signing of Thiago Silva this summer, Zouma could find it hard to play regularly for Chelsea this season.
Everton are going places and are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four under manager Carlo Ancelotti, and the defender would relish playing for the Toffees.
According to WhoScored, Zouma has scored one goal in two Premier League matches so far this season, while during the 2019-20 campaign, the defender made 25 starts and three substitute appearances in the league and played seven times in the Champions League.
