According to The Mirror, Manchester United are interested in signing Davide Calabria in the summer of 2019, and this means competition for Everton.

It has been reported that United are monitoring the 22-year-old AC Milan right-back as a replacement for Antonio Valencia, who is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season.

The report has also claimed of Everton’s interest in the youngster, but with United claimed to be looking at him, it is going to be hard for the Toffees to convince the youngster to switch to Goodison Park.

United are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the Red Devils could also finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

While Everton are an ambitious club, they are unlikely to finish seventh or eighth, and there stature around the world is not as big as that of United’s.

If there is a straight fight between United and Everton for Calabria, then it is very, very unlikely that the Toffees will win it.

So far this season, Calabria, who is a rising star, has made 18 starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A for Milan, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
