According to The Daily Mail, Swansea City are interested in signing Reece James from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, meaning that Everton are facing competition.

The Sun recently claimed of interest in James from Everton, with the 19-year-old full-back rated at £15 million.

The Daily Mail has now reported that new Swansea manager Steve Cooper is keen on landing the teenager this summer.

The report has claimed that the Swans want to secure the services of the right-back on a loan deal.

No major headache for Everton

Swansea are in the Championship, and having played in the second tier of English football with Wigan Athletic this past season, the 19-year-old could be looking to feature in the Premier League in 2019-20.

Everton are an ambitious outfit, and the Toffees can also cough up the £15m transfer fee that Chelsea will reportedly want, and Marco Silva’s side need not worry about facing competition from Swansea for the England Under-20 international.

Meanwhile, Turkish giants Besiktas are interested in signing Everton winger Ademola Lookman in the summer transfer window, according to a report in Aksam.
