Everton have made contact with Inter Milan regarding the signing of Gabriel Barbosa, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

It has been reported that the Toffees are interested in signing Barbosa on loan from Inter in the January transfer window with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

Inter, though, want to sell Barbosa outright, according to the report, with the 22-year-old forward currently on loan at Brazlian club Santos.

In-form

Barbosa has struggled to make an impact at Inter so far following his move from Santos in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Sun to be worth £25 million.

The young forward, though, is having a great time in Brazil, and has scored 17 goals in 34 league matches for Santos, according to The Sun.

Competition

Everton, though, are not the only club from England who are reported to be interested in securing the services of Barbosa.

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are looking at the Brazil international forward, while Goal Brasil has credited West Ham United with interest in the 22-year-old.
