Everton are set to visit two proposed sites for the prospect of constructing a new stadium to replace Goodison Park according to The Guardian.
The club’s major shareholder Farhad Moshiri will look at Bramley Moore dock, located on the Mersey waterfront and Stonebridge Cross in Croxteth on Friday, with the preferred option being the former.
Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright have been in talks with dock owners Peel Holdings and Liverpool City Council for several months, with the company reportedly wanting £30m to hand over ownership to The Toffees.

Goodison Park is the 10th biggest ground in the Premier League with a capacity of just under 40,000, but with West Ham United’s Olympic Stadium move, recent renovations by Liverpool and Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur’s plans for new stadia, Everton are under pressure for a bigger home to better compete with their rivals and generate more revenue.
Peel Holdings received planning permission back in 2012 for a £5.5bn redevelopment of the Bramley Moore dock, but that doesn’t include a licence to build a stadium which would require additional support and structures in order for construction to take place.
Stonebridge Cross would not require such support and is ready to hold a new ground but Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson is in favour of Everton looking to relocate to the Bramley Moore site in accordance with the city council’s plans to regenerate the area into a ‘Cultural Enterprise Industry Hub’.
