After back to back defeats in the Premier League, Everton will be desperate to get back to winning ways as they visit Mapei Stadium, the home of Serie A side Atalanta.
Ronald Koeman quite understandably is taking the Europa League seriously, as even this early in the League season, it represents perhaps their best opportunity to get into the Champions League next season.
However, it will be interesting to see the lineup the former Southampton manager puts out for the trip to Italy with the Toffees visiting Manchester United in the League on Sunday. To the advantage of the manager, there are no short term injuries, however, the likes of James McCarthy, Yannick Bolasie, Seamus Coleman, Ramiro Funes Mori and Ross Barkley will be absent with long term injuries.

There is a high chance that the Dutchman switches back to a back 3 after the defensive performance against Tottenham at the weekend with Mason Holgate regaining his place in the team. Davy Klaassen will perhaps retain his place in midfield, away from the rigors of the English game.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin after coming on at half-time at each of the Toffees’ last two fixtures might also feature from the start. However, Wayne Rooney, with one eye on a return to Old Trafford might get rested.
