Everton are reportedly interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele, who is enjoying a wonderful season in France.

After a string of outstanding performances, it is no surprise that Everton boss Marco Silva has already suggested, in comments reported by the Liverpool Echo, that the Toffees want to keep Andre Gomes on a permanent basis.
Gomes has been sensational in recent weeks, and getting the Barcelona man in on loan is already starting to look like a masterstroke. Keeping him long-term therefore, would be a brilliant deal if his current form continues.
And given some of the latest transfer reports emerging from Merseyside, it would appear that Silva is hoping to put together a partnership that could be devastating.

Ndombele is enjoying a brilliant spell in France and is establishing himself as one of the finest box-to-box midfielders in Europe. The 21-year-old is comfortable carrying the ball from deep and providing support in attack. He has contributed four assists in Ligue 1 this term.
But he is also showing the awareness to know when he needs to sit back. At £40 million therefore, he could prove to be a steal for whichever team manages to bag his signature.

If that is Everton and they also manage to keep Gomes permanently, then Silva will have put together a mouthwatering partnership in the middle of the park.
And based on Gomes’ start at Goodison Park and Ndombele’s potential, it may be the kind of pairing that takes Everton to that next level that they have flirted with several times in recent years.
