Everton have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Tottenham attacker Lucas Moura this month with the Brazilian out of contract in the summer – a player that Sam Allardyce claimed in 2018 is the player that makes Tottenham tick.
Moura, 30, has been at Tottenham for five years after joining the club in January 2018 from PSG. The 35-time Brazil star has clocked up 65 goals and assists in 213 games for Spurs. This season though, Moura has struggled for game time.
The ex-Sao Paulo winger has only managed 11 appearances in all competitions – a combined amount of less than 300 minutes. The Mail say that with Moura set to leave on a free in the summer, Everton have been offered the Spurs star.
Speaking to TalkSPORT back in November 2018, ex-Everton manager Allardyce was full of praise in his analysis of the Spurs ace. Allardyce said that Moura is “undervalued” and is actually the one that “makes Spurs tick” in his first year.

“I think he’s really undervalued. I don’t think he gets the credit for what he does. He’s the one that makes them tick and he scores goals,” Allardyce said when discussing Moura in November 2018, as quoted by This Is Futbol four years ago.

Everton do need options out wide if they are to save themselves from relegation. So, surely, they could do little better than a player who is proven in the Premier League. Capable of producing something out of nothing. Moura is that.
Moura would give Frank Lampard a real attacking threat in the final third. A player with skill, flair, pace, aggression and the ability to both score and create. He would be getting an experienced player for a cheap-ish price, at Everton.
