Everton want Niclas Fullkrug as their search for a new striker during the January transfer window takes them to the Werder Bremen hitman.
That’s according to German newspaper Bild, who claim that Everton are interested in bringing Fullkrug to the Premier League.
They are far from alone in the race though with two Bundesliga clubs interested.
Borussia Monchengladbach and Hoffenheim are understood to be interested in signing Fullkrug from Bremen.
Hoffenheim have just sold striker Georginio Rutter to Leeds United for big money, with Fullkrug their preferred replacement.
That means Everton face a real fight to sign Fullkrug, but maybe the lure of the Premier League can help them win the race.

Who is Everton target Niclas Fullkrug?
Fullkrug actually started his professional career with Bremen having previously been with TuS Ricklingen and Sportfreunde Ricklingen as a kid.
Everton target Fullkrug never quite made the breakthrough though and scored just three times in 25 first-team games.
Bremen decided to sell Fullkrug to Nurnberg in 2014 and that really started his rise to prominence.
The 6ft 2in striker scored 15 goals in his final season with Nurnberg to earn a 2016 move to hometown club Hannover.
Fullkrug notably scored 14 goals in the Bundesliga in the 2017-18 campaign and appeared to be exploding before taking a step back.
Hannover allowed Fullkrug to leave for a return to Bremen in 2019, where he smashed 19 goals in 33 league games last season to win promotion.
Now scoring left, right and centre in the Bundesliga, Fullkrug has become a German international and even scored against Spain at the World Cup.
Hailed as an ‘absolute weapon’ in front of goal by Philipp Lahm, Fullkrug’s story is quite incredible with the 29-year-old something of a late bloomer.
Everton need goals in order to stay in the Premier League and Fullkrug may well be the man to find the net having excelled in Germany.
