Everton are still hunting for a new manager after sacking Ronald Koeman in October.

Everton’s search for a new manager goes on, as they are still attempting to bring in a replacement for Ronald Koeman following the Dutchman’s sacking last month.
Koeman endured a dismal start to the season and paid the price with his job, having been sacked after a 5-2 home defeat to Arsenal back in October.
Over a month on though, Everton remain in the hunt for a new boss, with caretaker Davd Unsworth still in charge, though he has endured a dismal few days, starting with a 5-1 home defeat to Atalanta.

On Sunday afternoon, Everton were thumped 4-1 at Southampton, with more shambolic defending on show as the Toffees failed to show any signs of recovery without Koeman at the helm.
Fans are growing impatient over the lack of movement for a new manager, and with Everton giving up on Watford manager Marco Silva, it seems that the race is down to just two managers this evening.
Sam Allardyce remains the favourite after talks were restarted on Monday, with ‘Big Sam’ the odds-on favourite at 1/8, meaning Sky Bet are extremely confident that the former England boss will be heading to Goodison Park.

The 63-year-old has vast experience when it comes to getting teams out of trouble, which is exactly where Everton find themselves right now, but some may fans may have reservations about his style of play – especially if handed the 18-month contract he is looking for.
However, there is still one more name in the frame, with O Jogo in Portugal reporting that talks with Shakhtar Donetsk over landing their Portuguese boss Paulo Fonseca are at an advanced stage, and the 44-year-old may yet come through as the frontrunner given prior interest from Everton in 2016.
Fonseca is now just 5/1 to land the job having been nowhere near the mix just days ago, with his odds cut dramatically amid those reports in Portugal – and now it’s up to Everton to decide between the proven Premier League campaigner in Allardyce or the exciting, Silva-esque appointment of Fonseca.
