According to The Telegraph, Everton are set to miss out on Nuno Espirito Santo as he nears a move to Crystal Palace.
Nuno left Wolves at the end of the season, bringing an end to four successful years in charge at Molineux.
Some thought that the Portuguese boss would take a break from the game, but he is instead likely to take over at Palace.
Nuno leads the way for Palace
The report states that Palace held talks with Frank Lampard whilst also pursuing Sean Dyche, Steve Cooper and Valerian Ismael.
Nuno is the top target though, and is thought to be close to being appointed, with an appointment potentially coming later this week.
The 47-year-old faces a staggering rebuild at Palace this summer, but may have more power than he did at Wolves.

Everton miss out on Nuno
It seems that Everton won’t be appointing Nuno. They’re in the market for a new manager having lost Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid last week.
Sky Sports claimed last week that Everton were holding talks with Nuno over the job, with Farhad Moshiri allegedly viewing him as the ideal appointment.
Everton’s talks seemingly haven’t been enough to sway Nuno away from Palace though, leaving the Toffees to think about other targets.
