According to Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast, Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri conducted talks with Nuno Espirito Santo in London on Monday.
Everton lost Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid last week, and are now hunting for another manager in the Moshiri era.
After Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva and now Ancelotti, Everton need to get this one right.
Everton’s interest in Nuno
Sky Sports claimed last week that a first round of talks would be happening with Nuno following his exit from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It’s now stated that Nuno had a second round of talks on Monday, meeting Moshiri in London – and the talks left Moshiri feeling ‘confident’ that a deal could happen.
The Portuguese boss looks to be a hot favourite for the Everton job now, with Moshiri clearly very keen on him.

What about Crystal Palace?
That has been a topsy-turvy matter this week, with The Telegraph initially stating that Everton would miss out and Nuno was heading to Crystal Palace.
Palace then scrapped the move, leaving Everton as the most likely destination for the man who enjoyed four successful years at Wolves.
He could make a swift return to the Premier League with Everton, though with Christophe Galtier also contacted, Nuno isn’t the only name in the frame.
