Everton have joined the race to sign Inter Milan central defender Stefan de Vrij in 2022 after he was allegedly offered to Newcastle United.
That’s according to 90Min, who claim that intermediaries working around De Vrij’s camp are offering him out to other clubs.
Newcastle are one of the clubs believed to have been offered De Vrij, who fancies a Premier League move.
It’s also thought that Everton and Tottenham are interested in De Vrij though, with Newcastle facing a real battle for his signature.
The Dutch defender has racked up nearly 150 appearances for Inter since joining from Lazio in 2018.
With more than 400 club appearances in his career, De Vrij is vastly experienced but doesn’t turn 30 until February.
De Vrij won the Serie A title last season and played a key role in the Netherlands finishing third at the 2014 World Cup.

A solid, dependable and ultimately un-flashy defender, De Vrij could help solidify the back line of any club interested in him.
Everton have shown an interest in De Vrij in the past, chasing a deal back in December 2017.
Adding De Vrij could really bolster Rafael Benitez’s back line, but the money on offer at Newcastle could be huge.
With Antonio Conte – De Vrij’s former Inter boss – now in charge at Tottenham, they’re a major threat too, with this three-horse race a fascinating watch.
