Everton are said to be interested in Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson’s comments to the Daily Mail should act as a green light for Everton to chase Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Sun have suggested that Everton are chasing Wan-Bissaka ahead of the summer transfer window.

And while they are likely to face competition for the England youth international, Hodgson’s words should encourage Everton that a deal could be possible.

“We would be more than happy to keep them [Wilfried Zaha and Wan-Bissaka]. But we just have to remain realistic and see what happens,” Hodgson said.

“If offers come in they will obviously be assessed, like everything else.

“As I heard Manuel Pellegrini quite rightly say the other day [when discussing Declan Rice’s future]: every football player does have a price.”

If Everton were to sign Wan-Bissaka then he would be an exciting signing for the Toffees.

The right-back has been one of the best full-backs in the Premier League this season, and looks to have a hugely exciting future ahead of him.

Everton have struggled to find a consistent right-back this term, although Seamus Coleman has improved significantly of late.

If Wan-Bissaka was to arrive then the Irish international would have fierce competition for his place in Marco Silva’s starting line-up.

And if Everton present Palace with enough money then it seems that a deal could be possible for them this summer.
