Everton were interested in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Rashford reportedly wants to break through at United, but he is eager to be given a chance in a central role.
Jose Mourinho has tended to play Rashford out wide when giving the youngster a chance, and it could be that the England international searches for a new club in under a year’s time.
Everton have been tipped as one of the sides Rashford could join, if he does leave United.

But if Rashford does start getting itchy feet, and wants more regular game-time, then Everton need to be at the front of the queue for the striker.
And the Toffees would be wise to ensure that they are following Rashford closely all season, in case the possibility to sign him does arise.
