Everton are renowned for bringing the best out of youth, and that should see them rival Tottenham and Liverpool this month.

Everton are renowned for placing their trust in youth and continued such an ethos during Ronald Koeman and David Unsworth’s stints in charge. Now, it is time for Sam Allardyce to mirror just that.
The likes of Tom Davies, Beni Baningime, Dom Calvert-Lewin and Jonjoe Kenny have all progressed through the ranks at Goodison Park before breaking into the Everton first team.
While Ademola Lookman, Henry Onyekuru and Josh Bowler have all been signed by the club at a young age with huge hope that the trio, among others, can fulfil their burgeoning potential.

Since joining the club, former England boss Allardyce has not brought through a youngster of his own, while his only signing of the January transfer window has been Cenk Tosun, now in the peak of his career at 26.
Allardyce must continue the Everton tradition this month by signing an exciting young talent that is lighting up the lower leagues in English football, and that should see him turn his attention to Norwich City playmaker James Maddison.
The Daily Mirror claim Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham are interested in the 21-year-old assist machine, who has scored seven goals this season as well as creating another eight strikes in just 28 league and cup appearances.

The one-time England Under-21 international boasts impeccable technical ability, able to use both feet. He is also pretty quick, and boasts an eye for goal as well as the vision to unlock a defensive line.
Although Everton are already well stocked in the number 10 position, Wayne Rooney has begun to drop deeper while Davy Klaassen is yet to show the kind of quality required to play in the Premier League.
It should convince Allardyce that a move for the youngster will not only prove to be a beneficial signing in the future, but he can act as more than adequate cover right now in his Everton side.
