The Chelsea ace would be an excellent addition for Everton.

Marco Silva the head coach

Everton boss Marco Silva will surely be looking to bolster his ranks at Goodison Park this month, in an effort to guide his side into contention for the Europa League places come the end of the season.

One particular area where the Toffees need to strengthen is their centre-forward department, with the addition of a target man surely featuring highly on Silva’s January wish-list.

With this in mind, Everton simply must go back in for Chelsea front-man Olivier Giroud this month.

The Frenchman is far from a guaranteed starter at Stamford Bridge, and the opportunity to play regularly at Everton would surely be tempting for him.

The Blues have been credited with an interest in signing the 32-year-old on numerous occasions before, according to the Times, so they are obviously keen on the 6ft 4in target man.

Giroud is arguably the best striker in the Premier League when playing with his back to goal, and his ability to hold the ball up would help bring out the best in the likes of Richarlison, Theo Walcott and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The 87-capped France international is still in great shape, and his undeniable quality really could help take Everton to another level.

Giroud is not just about great hold-up play, however. He is also an excellent finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.

The Frenchman has racked up an impressive 115 goals since moving to England in the summer of 2012, and he would undoubtedly help lift Everton after their poor recent run of form.

And Silva must make a move for the Chelsea ace this month, if he truly wants to guide his side to an improved second half of the campaign.
