Everton are in the race for New York City FC striker Valentin Castellanos, according to The Sun.

The report has claimed that Everton are looking at Castellanos as a potential replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison.

Former Arsenal and Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez has also been offered to Everton by Inter Milan, according to the report.

The Sun reported last month interest in Argentine striker Castellanos from West Ham United.

Who is Everton target Valentin Castellanos?

The Sun have reported that Castellanos is valued at £14 million, which is affordable for Everton.

After all, the Toffees are a rich club who are well established in the Premier League.

The New York City FC striker was the top scorer in Major League Soccer last season with 19 goals.

According to The Sun, Castellanos took 132 shots and 57 were on target in MLS last season.

The Argentine is a very good striker who also provided eight assists in Major League Soccer last season.

Castellanos is a young striker who has room for improvement and can only get better in the coming years.

In our view, at the price of £14 million, Everton should certainly make an attempt to sign the Major League Soccer-based striker if Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison leaves.
