Everton were interested in Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison before the transfer deadline – and he has made a shock move to League One.
The Toffees were looking for more striking firepower to help Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and seemingly wanted to land a younger version of him.
Jebbison, much like Calvert-Lewin, came up through the Sheffield United ranks and is a big, physical and mobile centre forward.
The 18-year-old scored on his first Premier League start back in May, ironically against Everton, and the Toffees were chasing a move.
Everton had a £5million bid rejected last week according to TEAMtalk, and many expected Marcel Brands and co to come back with a new offer.
Jebbison did make a move on deadline day, but not to Goodison Park. In fact, not even to the Premier League at all.

Instead of a permanent move to the top flight, Jebbison has decided to stay with Sheffield United but go out on loan to League One with Burton Albion.
Jebbison will now play under former Leeds United and Chelsea star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at Burton, and will hope to develop his game under the Dutchman.
Hasselbaink has branded Jebbison a ‘big, big talent’, praising the teenager for turning down bigger clubs for a move to the Pirelli Stadium.
Everton did end up signing a striker in the end as Salomon Rondon arrived from Dalian Pro, with Rafael Benitez landing experience over youth – and maybe Everton should keep tabs on Jebbison during his loan spell ahead of a potential future move.
