What a few days it’s been for Everton fans.

The Toffees’ faithful have watched their club go on a £65 million spending spree in recent days.

Everton have announced deals for Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure since last weekend – and there could be another player set to join.

According to Sky Sports, the Goodison Park side are close to signing Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori on a season-long loan.

The Canada-born defender didn’t play a single minute of football under Frank Lampard when football resumed in June.

And with Thiago Silva joining in recent weeks, Tomori’s playing time could be adversely affected next season.

If Everton sign the 22-year-old then it’ll be yet another class bit of business by Director of Football Marcel Brands.

And some neutral fans on Twitter are impressed by their pre-season ambition. Here’s how they’re reacting:

Ancelotti’s side kick off their Premier League campaign with a trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

And although it might be a bit ambitious to expect Tomori to be in the squad, Doucoure, James and Allan certainly could be.
