Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin hopes that next season the Toffees can sort out their away form, as the former Manchester United man believes it’s seriously hampered their season, as told to PA Sport, covered by BT Sport.
Ronald Koeman’s side are assured of seventh place in the Premier League table, and their home form has been electrifying, winning 13 of their 19 league fixtures at Goodison Park, losing just twice on home soil.
However, their away form has been diabolical, with Everton winning four of their 18 matches played so far on the road, losing eight, and Koeman’s team face a trip to Arsenal on the final day of the season, with Arsene Wenger’s side still in with a shout of finishing in the top four.
Schneiderlin – who signed from Manchester United in January – admits he is very proud of the club’s home form, but freely admits that away from home, things need to be sorted out and fresh blood brought in, as in his eyes, Everton have missed out on finishing in the top five because of it.

“We look stronger at home but we need to progress away from home and hopefully next year we will do that to catch the team above us because there is not a lot of margin between us and the top six,” Schneilderin said to PA Sport, as covered by BT Sport. “You can see the difference between home form and away form.
“That is the main thing. If we won more games away from home we could have been top five so we need to be able to rectify that and know why we have not had the results we want away from home.
“But the team is doing well and hopefully we can keep good players and bring in some good players to the club.”

Everton will be featuring in the Europa League next season by finishing seventh, due to the winners of the League Cup (Manchester United) and the soon-to-be winners of the FA Cup (Arsenal or Chelsea) all finishing above them, meaning sixth and seventh get European qualification.
Regardless of their outcome with Arsenal on Sunday, Everton will finish seventh, as they are 15 points clear of Koeman’s former side Southampton in eighth, yet five points behind Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
