Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has suggested that he is confident that he will be able to return from injury quickly.

Schneiderlin had to be substituted off during Everton’s 4-0 victory over Hull City, after picking up a calf injury.

However, after scans, Everton have confirmed that Schneiderlin’s problem is only a minor one.

And the central midfielder has hinted that he does not think he will be sidelined for too long.

Everton currently have a two week break from domestic action, due to the international break.

That could serve as a bonus for Schneiderlin, as the January recruit could even be fit for Ronald Koeman’s side’s next match.

Everton are next in action in what looks set to be a thrilling Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield.

If Everton were able to beat their local rivals, they would put themselves in the race for a top four spot.
