The midfielder cost Everton £22 million in January.
Everton picked up a big transfer in the January window. They snapped up Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United in a deal reported by the BBC to be in the region of £22 million.
The former Southampton man had fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho but has become an instant hit at Goodison Park.
Everton’s Morgan Schneiderlin
His form has been pivotal to their recent uptake in performances and result. But whilst he is clearly happy at Everton now, he has admitted a desire to one day play elsewhere.
Speaking to the press in France he has admitted that he would like to one day play his football in Marseille.
He is quoted by Foot01 as stating:

James McCarthy proves a point in 6-3 Everton triumph
“If I was not done in England, maybe we would have seen, but after there was no advanced discussions with OM.
“When I was little, I always liked the Olympique de Marseille, and I think a lot of players have the desire to go there.
“So one day, why not return to France, but most important for me was to blaze in a championship that I know well.”
Marseille of course have recently been in the headlines for the signature of West Ham United forward Dimitri Payet.
His signature has put Marseille back on the map, but Schneiderlin is clearly not done in England.
Everton’s Morgan Schneiderlin warms up
The 27-year-old has built an impressive career in English football, since joining Southampton in 2008 and coming up through the Football League.
One day perhaps he can take his talents to the South of France and help Marseille challenge for silverware once again.
But for now, he is looking to be a hit at Goodison Park.
