Everton face Merseyside rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup on Friday and may have a new striker to call upon.

Sam Allardyce has revealed that Everton’s move for Cenk Tosun is in the “final stages” and there is even a chance of him being available for Friday’s FA Cup clash with Liverpool.
The Toffees boss confirmed via Sky Sports that a deal has been agreed for the Turkish striker, and that he could be registered in time to feature in the Merseyside derby at Anfield.
Allardyce is quoted by Sky Sports as saying: “I think it is personal terms is the final stage. After some long negotiation we have got to that stage now. That might happen before the cup, we might get him registered before the cup if we are lucky.

“There is a medical and all sorts to go through so that might be very tight. Securing the player is the most important thing because it has been the club’s biggest area of concern.”
Tosun would become Allardyce’s first signing at Everton following his appointment in November, and is the Romelu Lukaku replacement that Ronald Koeman never signed last summer.

The 26-year-old has scored 64 goals in 142 matches for Beskitas and eight in 25 at international level, so has a more established pedigree than Oumar Niasse or Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
He may get the chance to make himself an instant hero with the Toffees fans against Liverpool, but Everton will have to get the deal done by noon on Friday for him to be registered in time.
