Everton boss Koeman has spoken about which player he gives the most attention in training.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has named the player to whom he pays the most attention in training, as reported by Liverpool Echo.
Since Koeman was introduced as Everton’s new manager, there has been a certain wave of renewed optimism around Goodison Park.
The results have improved and the squad seems to have experienced a rejuvenation under the Dutchman, and a lot of that can probably be attributed to the many changes that he has overseen since his arrival.
Midfielder Ross Barkley has been ever-present in the Toffees’ starting line-up for a while now, so his omission from the first team against Manchester City certainly grabbed people’s attention.

It halted a run of 55 straight appearances in the Premier League for the Englishman, and Koeman has said that the 22-year-old receives a lot of attention during training sessions.
“Ross knows exactly what I expect because maybe he is one of the players who has the most attention from the manager.” Koeman said to Liverpool Echo.
“He needs the support of the manager, but the manager will always select the best 11 to start a particular game.
“That means you can be left out because you are not happy with the performances of an individual player, or you are making a tactical decision, but he knows he needs to improve.

“Yes he’s young but after four years of playing in the Premier League don’t mention that too much. He is experienced, and yes, he needs to perform. That’s what everybody needs to do.”
It seems as if from now on Barkley will be doing everything he can to get back in Koeman’s good books, and it may be just the push that the England international needs to get back on track.
The youngster will be hoping to be included when Everton travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley this weekend.
