Idrissa Gueye is an important player in Marco Silva’s Everton team.

Silva has outlined how Gueye – who earns £45,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – is different from the other midfielders in the Everton squad.
“It is an important position for me and to our squad,” Silva told Everton’s official website about Gueye.
“He is playing more like our holding midfielder, in the No 6 position. In our plan, it is a really important position.”
Silva added: “He is really important for us because our other midfielders do not have the same profile and we need Gana at a good level to help us in those moments, in our reaction and in our defensive and offensive transition.
“He is improving his understanding of what our plan needs from him in each moment of the game.”

Important player
Gueye has established himself as an important player in the Everton team and has played 540 minutes of Premier League football so far this season, according to WhoScored.
During the 2017-18 campaign, the 29-year-old defensive midfielder scored two goals and provided one assist in 32 league starts for the Toffees, according to WhoScored.
In 2016-17, the Senegal international scored one goal and provided one assist in 32 league starts for the Merseyside outfit, according to WhoScored.
Gueye has been on the books of Everton since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Aston Villa for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £7.1 million.
Everton will face Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League this afternoon.
