Paul Merson has written in The Daily Star that Everton should appoint Nuno as their new manager.

The former Arsenal star believes that the ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers boss would be a good managerial appointment for Everton.

The Sky Sports pundit has added that he does not think that David Moyes will leave West Ham and return to Everton.

According to BBC Sport, Nuno and Moyes are being considered by Everton to replace Carlo Ancelotti, who has left for Real Madrid.

Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “David Moyes has just built a great team at West Ham. If he went back to Everton he’d have to start from scratch again.

“Surely you see the job out at West Ham don’t you? They’ve just had an unbelievable season.

“Everton should go for Nuno Espirito Santo. He’s got Premier League experience and I’ve always thought he could manage a big club.”

Nuno to Everton is a great shout.

The Portuguese is available at the moment, having parted company with Wolves at the end of the past season.

The 47-year-old did a wonderful job at Wolves.

Nuno guided the Wanderers from the Championship to the Premier League and then took the team to the Europa League.

Things did not go well for Wolves this past season, but clubs do have bad campaigns, especially if they have injury problems.

Some Everton fans might not be happy with the way that Nuno plays, but the Portuguese does get results.

As for Moyes, it is hard to see the former Manchester United boss leave West Ham now.

It is very likely that the Scotsman will sign a new contract with the Hammers.

Moyes has guided West Ham to the Europa League, and he will surely want to be in charge of the team to experience that.
