Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny has suggested to Sky Sports that he can’t wait to work with Carlo Ancelotti.

Kenny has been loaned out by Everton to Schalke this season, which has meant that he is yet to work with Ancelotti.

Kenny has made an impressive impact in the Bundesliga though, and it is expected he will be part of Everton’s squad next season.

That should please the 23-year-old, who has claimed he was delighted when he found out that Ancelotti was coming in at Goodison Park.

“You just look at the manager Everton have brought in, he’s a natural winner,” Kenny said.

“He’s managed huge teams and players and won trophies wherever he has been. That was a great start, to get someone of the stature of the manager in.”

The right-back slot at Everton is very much up for grabs, and Kenny could well seize it when he does return.

Djibril Sidibe and Seamus Coleman have competed in the position this term, but neither have fully convinced.

Kenny will actually be in action at the weekend, as Schalke are due to take on Borussia Dortmund tomorrow.
