Kagawa has joined Everton man Tosun’s former side Besiktas.

Cenk Tosun has shown that Turkish side Besiktas still have a place in his heart, as the Everton striker sent a warning to his former club’s newest signing Shinji Kagawa on Twitter.
Kagawa, 29, has moved to Besiktas on loan until the end of the season after struggling to make an impact at Borussia Dortmund this season. Indeed, the former Manchester United star’s last senior appearance was in October.
The Japan international desperately needed game time and was linked with a move to AS Monaco, where he would join ex-Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas and Tottenham Hotspur loanee Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.
However, he has opted to move to Turkey and team up with Besiktas as they look to reduce Istanbul Baseksehir’s 11-point lead at the top of the table. Kagawa will wear Tosun’s former 23 shirt, and the striker warned Besiktas’ newest star.
The Tweet is translated as: “Take good care of jersey number 23. I know myself very lucky; Let it bring you good luck.”
Tosun, 27, was a fan favourite at Besiktas during his time there, scoring an impressive 64 goals in 142 league and cup appearances, before joining Everton for £27million last January.
Kagawa was in fact a reported target for Everton, with the Toffees said to be rivalling West Ham for the Japan international’s signature according to Tuttomercatoweb.
