Everton are said to be interested in signing Bruno Martins-Indi, who Ronald Koeman has worked with before.
Everton are competing with Crystal Palace and Stoke City for Martins-Indi, and have only registered their interest in the centre-back at the last minute.
But a reunion for Martins-Indi with Everton boss Ronald Koeman could appeal.
Martins-Indi and Koeman worked together at Feyenoord, earlier in their respective careers.

“I had the luxury of training under Koeman and [Louis] Van Gaal and I’m very happy about that,” he said, back at the start of 2017.
“They gave me a lot of responsibility at a young age. Leading the backline, building up from the back, normally managers don’t like to put so much responsibility on a young player so quickly.”
If Everton were to sign Martins-Indi, he would further bolster Koeman’s defensive options.
Everton have already snapped up Michael Keane this summer, as Koeman looks to make his backline much stronger for the upcoming campaign.
The Toffees also have the likes of Ramiro Funes-Mori, Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams to pick from at centre-back.
