Outstanding Everton talent Henry Onyekuru is facing a fresh start at loan club Anderlecht after his club coach was fired.

Anderlecht announced via their official website yesterday that they have parted ways with manager Rene Weiler.

This was despite his very best efforts, as Onyekuru has flourished early on this season.

He managed three goals in his first six games, a bright personal start – but Anderlecht are down in ninth in the Jupiler Pro League table, with just two wins so far.

Everton signed Onyekuru in the summer from Belgian side Eupen, but had to loan him out after he failed to qualify for a work permit.

His strong start to the season individually suggested Everton had chosen well in Anderlecht, and they now need to hope that his run continues.

Onyekuru is hoping to feature in Anderlecht’s upcoming Champions League group stage tie with Celtic.

This is an unwanted hiccup for the 20-year-old to face, and he will have to win over his new coach all over again.
