Shaktar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca has been repeatedly linked with a move to Everton.

Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca has told Ukranian outlet Football.UA that talk of an £8million-a-year offer from his current club is not true, amid interest from Everton.
The Sun claimed last week that the Toffees remain interested in luring the 45-year-old manager to Goodison Park with pressure continuing to rise on Sam Allardyce’s shoulders.

The report also claimed that Shakhtar were to make an £8million-a-year offer in order to keep the Portuguese boss amid interest from the Merseyside outfit, who could be ready to rival Shakhtar should an offer be made.
However, Fonseca responded by rubbishing the report when asked whether there was any truth in the seven-figure salary, stating that the report was simply untrue.
“Much is not true from what is being discussed,” Fonseca said, when asked if there was any truth in a report from the Sun. “Apparently, there is really one more joke. Such amounts are not true.”

Everton were linked with a move for the former Porto manager before appointing ex-England manager Allardyce, after owner Farhad Moshiri decided to sack Ronald Koeman earlier this season.
It remains to be seen if the Toffees will be on the lookout for a new manager at the end of the season, with a year still set to run on Allardyce’s contract. It is also unclear as to whether Fonseca will remain a target for the Merseyside club.
