Everton are said to be keen to sign Benfica’s Rafa Silva.

Everton have been linked with Benfica Rafa Silva recently in A Bola, with the Toffees said to be considering a £26.5 million move, but they would be better off targeting Max Meyer in the summer.
Everton are said to be keen on Silva, who would improve their options in attacking areas.
Silva is able to play anywhere behind the striker, but he would be an expensive option for Sam Allardyce’s side.

And that is why Meyer, who is currently playing for Schalke, would be a much better option for Everton.
Meyer may not have the pace of Silva, but he does offer similar levels of creativity.
The German is also available on a free transfer, which makes his transfer even more appealing.

The 22-year-old is sure to be wanted by a range of clubs, but if Everton could win the race, he would be an exciting addition.
And Everton would be much better off targeting Meyer on a free transfer, than bringing in Silva for an expensive fee, if they are looking for more additions in attacking midfield.
