Everton chose to release Josh Bowler last summer – and he could make a swift return to the Premier League with Leicester City.
The Toffees clearly had high hopes for Bowler when they raided Queens Park Rangers for his signature in 2017.
Everton struck a deal worth around £4.25million for Bowler, seeing huge potential in him as an 18-year-old.
Bowler turned out 41 times for Everton’s Under-23’s but was never able to make the step up to the first team.
When Bowler’s contract expired last summer, Everton allowed the winger to walk away without even making an appearance.
Blackpool swooped in to sign Bowler on a free transfer – and that move has proven to be perfect for all.
Praised as ‘brilliant’ by boss Neil Critchley, Bowler has got his career back on track and looks to be moving forward at the age of 22.
Bowler has bagged four goals and three assists in 32 Championship games for Blackpool, attracting major interest as a result.
TEAMtalk now claim that Leicester City are interested in signing Bowler, potential giving him another Premier League shot after his Everton situation.
Nottingham Forest remain keen, whilst Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City and Brentford are also in the race.

Blackpool were willing to sell Bowler for £1.5million in January, so we could see a bargain move for the wide man.
Every have made some transfer missteps in recent years, mostly when it comes to bring in players for extortionate prices.
In Bowler’s case though, Everton seemingly didn’t quite know what they had with the winger now excelling in the Championship.
Whether Bowler can make it in the Premier League remains to be seen, but it looks like Leicester could give him that move back to the top flight.
