Everton legend Alan Stubbs has his say on his former club’s reported pursuit of Manchester United man.
Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme at 10:07 on December 22nd, Everton legend Alan Stubbs offered his opinion on his former club’s reported pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
The 27-year-old Frenchman has been a peripheral figure for Jose Mourinho’s men so far this season, and is still yet to make a Premier League start for his side.
And Stubbs, who made 192 appearances for the Toffees during two separate spells with the club, told Sky Sports how he believes Schneiderlin would be an ideal signing for Ronald Koeman’s side:
Manchester United’s Morgan Schneiderlin
“I think Everton would be a good fit for him, I think it’s an area of the field where Everton are looking to improve. There have been a few question marks around McCarthy. So it sounds like a good fit for the player and Everton as a club.”
It is quite clear that Koeman needs to strengthen his options in January, with his side having not lived up to their high expectations so far this term.

The worry for Blues fans is that there are so many different areas of the pitch that actually need addressing, along with the fact that they currently have one of the oldest first-team squads in the division.
The addition of Schneiderlin would be a very a good start, and the Frenchman would be a younger upgrade on the ageing Gareth Barry.
