Everton got the penultimate Premier League matchday of 2018-19 under way with a 2-0 win over Burnley in their last Goodison Park game of the season on Friday night.

The hosts drew first blood in the 17th minute as a Richarlison shot was diverted into the net by the knee of Clarets defender Ben Mee, and just three minutes later Seamus Coleman headed home after Tom Heaton parried the ball into his direction.

Sean Dyche’s charges improved after the interval, managing to get their first shot on target just before the hour, while Johann Berg Gudmundsson having a good opportunity a few minutes later, but they were unable to muster up a consolation.

A season which has blown hot and cold for Everton fans is now finishing on a high as the Toffees have won four successive home games and keeps their Europa League hopes alive.

Before the game, the club unveiled the new statue of legendary trio Colin Harvey, Howard Kendall and Alan Ball, known as the “Holy Trinity” and regarded as the best midfield trio in England in the 1960s.

Here are some of the photos from the unveiling, including the reaction of Harvey upon seeing the statue for the first time:
