Everton want Leeds United’s Jack Harrison – but face a battle with West Ham United for the winger’s signature this summer.

Everton secured Premier League safety with a game to spare as Frank Lampard rescued them from the drop.

The Toffees simply cannot be in the same position next season and need reinforcements this summer in order to progress.

Lampard will want big signings but with Everton up against it financially, making major expenditure seem a little unlikely.

Lampard will still have key targets in mind and one of them could be Leeds winger Harrison.

90Min report that Everton are right in the mix to sign Leeds ace Harrison this summer.

West Ham United are also thought to be keen on Harrison – and even then they aren’t the only ones in the race.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have Harrison on their wish lists too ahead of the summer window.

Harrison, 25, hit eight goals in 35 Premier League games for Leeds this past season but only registered one assist.

What may give Everton hope of a deal is that Harrison already has a strong relationship with Toffees boss Lampard.

Harrison played alongside Lampard in the New York City FC side over in Major League Soccer before the former Chelsea midfielder retired.

Back in February, Lampard indicated that he feels Harrison is one of the best wingers in the Premier League.

Harrison even noted that Lampard texted him to congratulate him on Leeds’ promotion in 2020.

Harrison has also told MLS Soccer that he and Lampard were ‘always close’ during their time together in America and remain so now.

The battle for Harrison is fierce but if anybody can lure him away from Leeds and over to Goodison Park, it’s surely Lampard.
