Everton are leading the race for Leeds United target Aaron Ramsey, according to Calciomercato.it.

Everton lead Aaron Ramsey race

The Italian news outlet has claimed that Everton remain at the front of the queue for the former Arsenal midfielder.

Ramsey’s agents are going to have talks with Juventus over his future.

And Everton, according to the report, are ready to make their move.

Blow for Leeds United

Calciomercato.it‘s claim about Ramsey leading the race is a blow for Leeds.

That’s because, according to media speculation, Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds are also keen on the 30-year-old.

Earlier this week, CalcioMercato reported that Bielsa is a fan of Ramsey, and that Leeds want to bring Ramsey to Elland Road.

Everton more appealing than Leeds

In our opinion, Everton are more appealing than Leeds at the moment.

Yes, Leeds are a big club, but they are in a fight for survival in the Premier League at the moment.

Everton have long wanted to challenge for the Premier League top four.

And the Toffees’ long-term ambition is likely to appeal more to Ramsey, who has played 262 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, than Leeds.
