Everton’s Iranian shareholder is keen on his signature.
Earlier this week Liverpool were linked with a move for Iranian talent Sardar Azmoun, with the Daily Mail saying the club had been tracking him for some time.
If the Reds are in the hunt for the 21-year-old forward, they are set to have competition from their local rivals Everton for the FC Rostov striker – according to reports in Iran.

Persian Football is reporting that a number of clubs, including Stoke City, are also interested in Azmoun, Everton being one of them.
They even suggest that the Iranian investor Farhad Moshiri, who became a major shareholder at Everton in the summer, could be a major contributor to any interest in the player.

There is no doubt that Moshiri will not want his country’s major footballing commodity joining Everton’s local rivals rather than lacing up at Goodison Park.
This may have sparked the apparent interest but with Everton needing striking reinforcement the talented Iranian would also be a great addition to the team.
