Kostas Tsimikas has hailed Jordan Pickford after the Everton goalkeeper proved impossible to beat in Liverpool’s 0-0 draw at Goodison Park.
Jurgen Klopp’s men made the short trip across Stanley Park on Saturday afternoon and were hoping to make it three wins from three.
That didn’t happen though, with Liverpool struggling to break Everton down – and they could have even lost it.
Conor Coady was narrowly ruled offside as he turned in a close-range strike whilst Alisson was forced into big saves from Neal Maupay and Dwight McNeil.
At the other end, Pickford was in inspired form to keep Liverpool at bay on numerous occasions, especially in the second half.

In the first half, Pickford tipped a Darwin Nunez strike onto the bar, with Luis Diaz hitting the post with his follow-up.
Pickfored then denied Roberto Firmino twice and also tipped a Mohamed Salah effort onto the post in the final seconds, racking up eight saves in total.
Pickford comes in for stick on a regular basis but this was another example of why the Everton man is England’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Dean Henderson has started the season well with Nottingham Forest and Nick Pope is shining with Newcastle United, but Pickford reminded everybody of his quality ahead of the World Cup.
£30m ace Pickford has been coming in for major praise and Liverpool defender Tsimikas has joined in with the plaudits.
The Greek left back, who started ahead of Andrew Robertson against Everton, was impressed with both Pickford and Alisson.
Tsimikas told Viaplay that Pickford and Alisson turned in ‘very, very good’ displays and Pickford’s brilliance was the reason for Liverpool only grabbing a point.
“Both goalies were very, very good, a very good performance, that’s why we left today with one point,” said Tsimikas.
Liverpool will feel incredibly frustrated having failed to find the net at Goodison Park, with two wins from six Premier League games hardly an ideal start to the season.
Everton are still searching for their first win of the Premier League season but fans will be encouraged by this display.
