The Toffees ran out 3-0 winners in Tuesday night’s Premier League encounter in south Wales.

Everton have ended a miserable February on a high note by claiming a win in their last game of the month, beating Cardiff City 3-0 in Tuesday night’s Premier League game away in the Welsh capital.
The Toffees had lost all three of their games so far this month but, against Neil Warnock’s struggling Bluebirds, they ended up claiming a comprehensive victory which eases the pressure on under-fire manager Marco Silva.
Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a goal in each half at the Cardiff City Stadium, first sweeping home Seamus Coleman’s cut-back from the right following a throw-in, and then netting on the rebound after Bernard’s effort had been deflected into his path.
Late on, Idrissa Gueye took advantage of some lacklustre Bluebirds defending to play Dominic Calvert-Lewin in, the youngster then through on goal and picking his spot from the edge of the area.
Aside from the scoreline and three points, the game was also special for Phil Jagielka, who started for the first time since Everton’s draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the season’s opening game.

Speaking after the game, the 36-year-old spoke to the official Everton site and praised his teammates, also sharing what he told Calvert-Lewin after his injury-time goalscoring contribution.
“Dom deserved his goal,” he said. “I told him that – he had an important role for us on his own up front against two big, strong defenders and when he came back to defend set pieces he got his head on a few things… I was delighted he got on the scoresheet.”
Up next for Everton is Sunday’s Premier League game against Merseyside rivals Liverpool at Goodison Park.
