Atalanta are keen on Aston Villa’s Bertrand Traore and Liverpool’s Takumi Minamino but another target, Everton winger Alex Iwobi, is too expensive at the moment, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
After abandoning their pursuit of Chelsea misfit Tammy Abraham, arguably the most exciting, free-flowing side in Europe are now looking elsewhere in the Premier League amid growing doubts over the futures of Josip Ilicic and Duvan Zapata.
And reports coming out of Italy claim Atalanta have four players under consideration – a quartet of wingers who, you’d think, would be available for the right price.
Minamino and Daniel James are likely to find game time hard to come by in 2021/22 at Anfield and Old Trafford respectively, with the likes of Mo Salah, Jadon Sancho, Sadio Mane and Mason Greenwood for competition.
Traore, meanwhile, may find himself in a similar situation despite an impressive debut season in the Premier League.
The £17 million wideman could lose his starting berth to newcomer Leon Bailey, while Mikkel Damsgaard, Dwight McNeil and Lazio speedster Joaquin Correa have all been linked to Villa in the past week or so.

Tuttomercatoweb believes Iwobi is another name in the frame for Atalanta.
And, given Gian Piero Gasperini boasts a superb track record when it comes to helping plateauing players realise their potential, the Nigeria international may be tempted by the prospect of a move to a club where Ilicic, Zapata, Papu Gomez and more blossomed into elite-level attackers.
The report adds Iwobi, who has often underwhelmed since joining Everton from Arsenal in a £40 million deal, earns £50,000 a week at Goodison Park.
He he would need to accept a sizeable pay cut if he’s to join a club that has made a habit of thriving despite meagre resources – at least in comparison with the likes of Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan.
