Everton want Idrissa Gueye and the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has seemingly changed his stance after learning of their interest.
The Toffees added two new faces last week as Kevin Thelwell managed to push a couple of deals over the line.
Left back Ruben VInagre has arrived on loan from Sporting whilst Dwight McNeil has completed a permanent move from Burnley.
With James Tarkowski also on board, Everton’s squad is starting to take shape – but the Toffees continue to chase new signings.
Everton want Idrissa Gueye
A name emerging in recent days is that of Idrissa Gueye, with Everton keen to bring him back to Goodison Park.
Everton pounced to sign Gueye from Aston Villa back in 2016, paying just £7.1million to bring him to Merseyside.
Gueye became a fan favourite at Everton, racking up 108 appearances before completing a £30million move to PSG in 2019.
The Senegal international hasn’t quite enjoyed the same success at PSG, even though he has played more games for the French champions.
Gueye has ben more of a squad player at PSG and he may now decide to leave for a return to Everton after winning Ligue 1 last season.

Goal France report that Gueye was actually planning to stay at PSG and attempt to convince new boss Christoph Galtier of his quality.
Yet since Everton have shown an interest in re-signing him, Gueye’s approach has allegedly changed and he fancies heading back to Merseyside.
That’s one part of the battle for Everton, and talks will now continue with PSG to try and thrash out a deal.
Gueye has just one year left on his Paris Saint-Germain contract and is surely available for a mere fraction of PSG’s £30million outlay three years ago.
Everton now seem to have real hope of luring Gueye back to the club, bolstering Frank Lampard’s midfield with a key addition.
