You won’t catch Kevin Campbell agreeing with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher about Everton’s capture of Michael Keane from Burnley.

Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell recently joined Twitter and he is proving as much of a hit on social media as he was on the pitch.

Campbell has been engaging with Everton supporters over the past week, and he was overjoyed to see the club announce the signing of their latest signing on Monday, defender Michael Keane.

Everton announced Keane’s signing on a contract until 2022, with the defender stating they were the ‘perfect’ club for him to sign for.

Campbell commented that he believes Keane snubbed an offer from Liverpool in order to sign with Everton.

Keane was linked with Liverpool back in May by The Mirror, although that particular trail had gone cold.

The defender would have had good reason for not wanting to play at Anfield – his former club was bitter rivals Manchester United.

Whether the Reds were really in for him is uncertain, but Campbell appears to have had good fun riling up Everton’s Merseyside rivals.

Just don’t tell Jamie Carragher, who took to Twitter to comment that none of Everton’s recent signings would make it into Liverpool’s starting XI.
